These new za’atar chicken-style tofu bites are ideal with my pita breads (see recipe)!
Preheat oven to 220°C.
Meanwhile prep the bites: drain, then cut the tofu into chunks (I’m crushing it by hand).
In a bowl, mix the tahini, nutritional yeast, salt, oil and za’atar. If this is too dry add water to get a creamy result.
Throw in the tofu chunks and gently toss.
Heat a pan and throw in the tofu. Sauté for 5mn so they get crispy.
Transfer to a baking sheet and bake for 15mn.
If you want them crispier, let them dry in the oven turned off.
