Preheat oven to 180°C. In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients: gluten, almonds, nutritional yeast, smoked paprika, onion and garlic. In a bowl, combine water, tahini, soy sauce and liquid smoke.
Pour the wet mix onto the dry ingredients and knead for one minute. Shape a rectangle and cut pieces that will fit your skewers or as individual pieces.
(the standard quantities suggest 2 skewers per guest, that is 8 pieces for 4 guests)
Bake for 25 minutes.
Skewer. Feel free to chop smaller pieces and combine with fresh veggies.
Coat in barbecue or tonkatsu sauce before grilling. The meat is cooked already so this will be fast!
