I had never tasted bacon or carbonara and I’m happy I now did thanks this amazing hack! If you don’t have liquid smoke you can still give it a try or used smoked paprika!
Line your baking tray with parchment paper and preheat oven to 180°C.
In a bowl, mix all the ingredients (adding 2 sprays of liquid smoke) except the rice paper. This is going to be your dip.
Place one sheet of rice paper over another, dip them into a bowl of water until they get soft. Using scissors, cut into bacon-size strips.
Dip each strip into the mix and place on baking sheet.
Repeat twice (total 6 papers).
Bake for about 8 minutes, until crisp (keep an eye on the oven sheet as they can burn easily!)
Serve immediately or store in the fridge (can be kept a few weeks).
