This cashew-based cheddar cheese alternative, solidified with agar agar, is firm, spreadable and melts perfectly!
Boil the cashews for 15 minutes.
Drain them and blend with the lemon juice, coconut oil, soy sauce, apple vinegar, tahini, nutritional yeast, smoked paprika, onion, garlic and salt.
Boil the agar agar in the water for 1 minute, stirring continuously, and pour in the blender immediately. Blend again and pour in a sealed container.
NB. The mix will harden fast so be quick!
Leave to cool down and enjoy!
